Try these Easy DIY Face Masks
Is it just us, or do you love taking a little extra me-time during spring months? Sometimes when the weather isn’t inviting outside it’s nice to be able to curl up doing what you love in the comfort of your bed home. For us, self-care means indulging in skincare. On a regular day, we love our Dead Sea Mud Mask because it’s easy to apply and it’s effective. But for those days where we have a little more time on our hands, we love to mix it up with some DIY masks. Lucky for you, we’re giving you our two favourites so you can mix them yourself.
This simple avocado face mask is our go-to for when our skin is feeling a little dry. Avocados are full of healthy fats that are great for naturally moisturizing skin. Try this mask out for yourself if you feel like your skin needs a pick-me-up!
What you’ll need:
- 1 avocado
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
Mix together all the ingredients above. Apply the mixture to your skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat to dry.
This banana face mask is really great for acne-prone skin. The Vitamin A in bananas promote skin-cell turnover and help pores stay clean, making this mask an awesome addition to your routine.
What you’ll need:
- 1 banana, mashed
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Mix together all the ingredients above (chunks are okay). Apply the mixture to your skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat to dry.
