Our Top Fitness Tips

Happy #FitnessDay friends! We don’t know about you but we’re celebrating today with a healthy breakfast, our favorite workout and LOTS of water. Most importantly, we’re sharing our top fitness tips so you can join in on the fun. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or just starting out, we’re sure you’ll find a tip that’ll help you on your journey.

Eat Healthy!

This one is super obvious but it’s too important to not be included. Eating healthy is the backbone of any fitness journey. Without proper nutrition, your fitness goals are likely to stall. If you want to get serious about your fitness, make sure you maintain a balanced diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, complete proteins, and healthy fats.

Meal Prep!

We totally understand that maintaining a healthy diet can be tough if you have a busy schedule. Worrying about what you’re going to eat every day is stressful and turning to a stop at a drive-thru is convenient. If you prep your meals for the week ahead of time, you don’t have to worry about a thing! Meal prepping also helps control portion sizes, making overeating a thing of the past. Boom.

Give it 2 Weeks!

If you find it hard to stay motivated to hit the gym every day, change up your workout routine every 14 days. Adding some structure to your variety removes boredom from your workouts. HIIT workouts don’t seem so daunting when you’re only committed for 14 days! Try it out for yourself, it’s one of our favorites.

Stay Flexible!

Trying to reach an exact weight or setting a super-specific goal like losing 7 pounds in 3 weeks is stressful and sometimes unattainable. Flexible goals seem more feasible, which boosts your sense of accomplishment and encourages you to stay driven. What we’re really trying to say is: don’t be so hard on yourself!

Find Your Cardio!

Cardio is important for a number of reasons. It keeps your heart healthy, boosts metabolism and is a killer workout. Unfortunately, not everyone loves to go for a run. It’s super important to find a form of cardio that works for you and to work that into your fitness routine at least a couple times a week. Cycling, swimming, rowing and interval training are all excellent ways of getting your blood flowing. Find something that works for you and run with it (pun intended).
