Opt. for a Richer Moisturizer
Heavy snow. Gusting wind. Freezing rain. Pair any of these conditions with cold temperatures and inadequate hydrating products and you’ll be facing some serious winter skin woes. To keep your skin soft and supple, moisturizing day and night is key. And it can’t just be any willy-nilly moisturizer either. Yeah, those sun rays can still be damaging and even more so if they’re reflecting off the snow. Remember: preventing premature skin aging and the formation of sun spots is never a bad thing! So, unless you plan on being cooped up in your home with the windows shut and blinds drawn all winter, make sure a moisturizer with SPF is incorporated into your morning skincare routine.

Okay, so we’re not saying to completely shut off your indoor fireplace or furnace. But do keep in mind that too much heat can wreak havoc on your skin. Simply put, if the air is dry, your skin will be dry. Your skin needs moisture to stay hydrated and looking its best. By having a humidifier in your home, you’re increasing the moisture content in the air, which your dehydrated skin will thank you for. Switch Up Your Diet
