Happy New Year, skincare lovers! It’s officially 2019 and we’re ready to set some serious intentions for the next 12 months. It may be a little cliché, but having a New Year’s resolution is a great way to do some internal reflection and hold yourself accountable to an attainable goal. If you’re feeling stuck, we’ve made a list of 5 resolutions we love.
- Stop checking social media as soon as you wake up
Are you the kind of person who opens up Instagram before getting out of bed? It’s hard to practice mindfulness when you’re online as soon as you wake up. Try taking some time for yourself before opening your mind to the masses – it’s an easy way to practice some selfcare!
- Drink more water
Staying hydrated has endless benefits, but so many people don’t do it! Challenge yourself this year to drink enough water and see how your body thanks you.
- Start journaling
Before you skip over this one, hear us out. Journaling doesn’t need to mean keeping a middle school-style journal, it could mean jotting down a daily thought. It can be incredibly rewarding to take a moment everyday to reflect on yourself.
This is definitely the most cliché resolution there is, but it’s important! If you’re hoping to get in shape, find something you love and set a realistic goal for yourself. If you’re just starting out on your fitness journey, expecting to hit the gym 5 days of the week may not work for you. Listen to your body and be gentle with your expectations.
- Try something new
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Maybe it’s finally mastering a handstand or hiking that trail you keep driving past. Whatever that thing is, find a way to make it happen and get to it! We’re rooting for you.
