Now that we’re a few weeks into the time change we wanted to take a second to reflect on our wellbeing. While our bodies have had enough time to adjust, it can take our minds a little longer to catch up. The early darkness can leave us feeling a little down in the dumps, so we’re here to make sure you don’t lose sight of your wellness this winter. Keep reading for 3 of our favourite tips for surviving the time change.
Keep Your Schedule
We know it feels harder to leave the house when it’s dark and cold outside, but it’s important to keep busy! It can be easy to fall into a lazy routine during the nighttime, but you’ll feel more fulfilled if you make an effort to keep your normal schedule.
Get Quality Sleep
The darkness makes it easy to feel sleepy, but it’s important to make sure you’re getting quality sleep. Keeping busy throughout the day and avoiding excessive amounts of screen time will help you get the sleep you need.
Find Some Vitamin D
We get most of our Vitamin D from the sun, so naturally, our intake depletes after the time change. Try taking a Vitamin D supplement, spending time in an infrared sauna or eating foods like salmon, tuna and mushrooms.
We hope you guys aren’t suffering too much after the time change. If you are, try these 3 tips and notice the difference. Stay healthy out there!
